Gundam is great, so it deserves a thread. Hard to beat war stories and giant robots.
Anybody check out the recent GQuuuuuux show, or perhaps got a favorite series or mobile suit?
I haven't watched much Gundam, but i Do love gundam Girl designs. They have a very Special place in my heart.

GM's FOR LIFE!!!!!!
GM III my beloved
Whoa, it's like a postcard: Dear Sarge, kicking ass in outer space. Wish you were here!
@minokawa Ooo, those are indeed some killer designs! I've never done a deep dive into the Gundam Girls side of things, but the illustrations I have seen are always cool and remind me of high-quality cosplays of the mobile suits.
@ironKnight Excellent choice! The GM/"Jim" line are wonderful average grunt mobile suits, and the GM III is great, partly cause it's just a GM II with a bunch of extra attachments.
My own all-time favorite series (and MS/MF) is Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and the God Gundam. Then from the Universal Century it'd be Zeta Gundam, both the series and the mobile suit.
I have not seen GQuuuuuux, but a friend of mine has, and he's told me a lot about it.
My favorite series is probably Gundam Thunderbolt. (Still waiting on Sunrise to animate more of the manga) I'm a bit of a UC nut, particularly the OYW. So I haven't seen a lot of the other non UC media.
My favorite mobile suit is probably the Zock. Giant amphibious cactus.
Though I'm also quite a fan of the Super Custom Zaku F2000 from Gunpla Builders Beginning G.
I just wish it was green, like a normal Zaku.
turn A is my favorite anime of all time

RE: dimensionalDownfall
I haven't gotten to the Build series yet, but almost every Gundam/Gunpla design I've seen from it yet has been neat. And like the GM III, at least visually the Super Custom Zaku F2000 basically just has a ton of optional attachments. Very fun pick.
RE: lowe Shawthorn
That's awesome to hear! Likewise I've yet to get to Turn A, but it may the one I'm most excited to eventually get to. I've heard it (and the Build series) are a great capstone to the franchise, so I've been saving them until after I get through all the other "proper" Gundam series. Still need to get through Victory, SEED, 00, and Wing though.
@Arashi yeah, Turn A definitely benefits from having at least seen 79 through char's counterattack. I used to say you HAD to watch those ones for it to be worth watching but I'm a lot more lenient about it now. even if you don't have full context it's still really good. but obviously if you're already/planning on watching a bunch of gundam then saving it for later is a good idea.
I also just a couple nights ago finished GQuuuuuux. the first half of the show gets a bit bogged down in some stuff that I didn't find very interesting, but the last half was really really good and all in all I definitely enjoyed it a lot. I'm not sure where I'd put it on a personal tier list, but I'm absolutely glad I watched it
