I'm sure someone has already made a thread on this but I wouldn't know, because there no fucking button for me to search for it. Come on, its such a basic (but important) feature.
well if you looked in the "FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS / SUGGESTIONS" thread pinned at the top of this very board you would see that it is in fact being worked on, alongside a number of other things because if you look at the very very top of the page you will see the forums are in "beta" this is because it is a custom built forum thats not using any existing forum software. one could debate on if the forums should have been opened in this state or if they should have waited sure, but they are open and we are here and thats the situation *(~w0)
(also if you happened to look at one of the other pinned threads you would see that search is a frequently requested feature in the wishlists)
bro have patience the forumz are ztill in beta ztate and dont tell me u didnt know what that meant bcuz you have a literal example in homeztuck (zburb) :x
hehehe :x

to be entirely fair, it's buried between 70 lines of text. if you're just skimming it's easy to miss.
perhaps if... there were... some kind... of feature........ to find that............................. x)
yeah to be honest i feel like they probably shouldnt have launched the forums without a search function lol. especially with the bit in code of conduct or whatevs about avoiding duplicate threads. like how am i supposed to know if its a duplicate when i cant search the topic
yes sir the earth is literally under seige by planet fucking jupiter
This solution has existed for ages. Let's say I wanted to make a topic on the subject of the comic Prequel. How do I know someone else hasn't posted a topic on it already?
First I go to google.com and type in this (Note: This only works if you can stomach using google for long enough.):
Then these are the search results:
As you can see, the first result shows that someone has talked about it before. I go into the forum thread and check it out. Looks like it is a post that would be better done under Media Discussion, so I do have a reason to go and make a thread there about the comic Prequel if I truly want to.
I then wonder what the second result is. I click on it and read a little, and realized that it is not a topic, but instead is a forum user's bio (I do learn a little bit more about the person though!).
The rest of the results have nothing to do with what I'm looking for, and you can tell this at a glance.
See? How hard was that? Really this stuff is like, Internet 101, but there's a first time for everything when it comes to learning new things. So long as you're willing to fiddle around and experiment, you'll get the hang of it.

Okay, so I don't know if it is just me or not, but those pesky images decided to RUN OFF to who knows where, and at least on my end, I can't see them anymore. Hopefully filegarden ends up being a better image host than whatever the frick I used (apparently postimg.cc).
This is the first image in my previous post:

There. Hopefully I don't look like an idiot and these won't end up dying after like a day.
