i just think it's cute. even if it's... um... quite doomed? not in of it self, but because it's usually not reciprocated, and or dave ends up with that stories' karkat or jade or terezi or some thing. usually the first one.

i find johndavekat interesting. it's not quite my cup of tea, as i feel too much is going on in it with characters i don't think would engage in polyamory or are mentally stable enough for that to not be stressful to john. and i don't enjoy johnkat (it just doesn't seem to hold). however, i can see why people like those, and it probably can make for a good fic. john is paired with dirk for reasons i THINK are similar.
