Saw this mentioned in the rarepair thread that it may be best to keep taboo and problematic ships apart from the others so as to sort of quarantine it away from those it may make uncomfortable.
lets begin with a short and sw33t TW of what constitutes a "problematic ship," Here it will be defined as any ship with the following themes: incest, minor x adult (fictional ONLY mind mew), and/or abusive outside of the previous ones. Please begin your thread posts with specific TWs in bold at the top if going in depth!
So! Here is that place! Whether you just enjoy the darkness, find a semblance of comfort in it, or dont even enjoy it you just find it fascinating to think/write about: here mew go!
Please no outright NSFW, and keep in mind that while you may not fancy someones ship, let's not fight or otherwise harrass people who do. I will say however, hot takes i think can be allowed as long as we are respectful? f33l fr33 to go in depth about what you do or dont like about a ship, and maybe some discussion could change some minds or open up mew pawssibilities to what can be explored in the relationships!

hey, gonna go ahead and take this one down, not making a statement on problematic shipping or anything really.
1) there is currently not a way to hide or spoiler text, and putting a TW before a message is entirely insufficient in regards to very sensitive discussion.
2) even though we will, to a certain extent, allow the discussion of sensitive topics, it's mostly for literary analysis purposes. predatory relationships exist in homestuck, but it's much too sensitive of a topic to allow open "shipping" discussions of in a public forum.
3) no matter how many disclaimers you add this will become a moderation nightmare.
in the future, we will only allow discussions of these dynamics as they pertain to the actual text of homestuck, (or whichever other work you're currently discussing). do not invent your own.
