I vibe with the genderfuck shit, and on first pass, it kind of seems like Hussie was venting his frustration towards the system of hegemonic capitalism--especially near the end. Zhen's a great character and the story is fun and quirky.

I first read Psycholonials a while back, pretty soon after reading the Epilogues. I absolutely adored it, it hooked me in a way almost no other work has, and I've made it my personal duty to harass my friends into reading it. I don't think I'll ever get over it

i LOVE psycholonials so so so much. i think people are missing out when they read it simply as a "meta story" "about homestuck" because i think it genuinely has a lot of interesting things to say about online leftism, infighting, etc... even if hussie's experience with the homestuck fandom is relevant to psycholonials, i don't think hussie would write that whole story just to say they hate this fandom or something like that.
it sucks that most people have that opinion!

I think it's a great commentary on the nuance of revolution! Because you can clearly see the world is corrupt, and the story gets you incredibly invested in that fact, but then it also shows you how flawed Zhen is in her approach and how easily things can go wrong. I love how flawed she is as a character. Shes one of my favorite fictional characters as of late:) and i am still meaning to create a clownsona
I want to replay it form more nuanced opinions since I only played it as it was coming out, but it did hit my emotions like a fucking truck so to me that still makes it peak yeah
