So i get that Homeslice is meant to be fluff, just kinda slice of life silly shenanigans with no real conflict. And it's pretty cute! I read the whole thing recently and while it def was not personally my jam, it was cute. I liked a lot of the outfits and the art overall was very nice. I did have a question, though.

There's one moment that seems aimed at addressing some of the conflicts that arose in The Epilogues. Mainly when Terezi and Kanaya are talking during the Halloween party, and they talk about xenophobia. It's said that, to combat xenophobia the border controls have gotten very tight? And Kanaya and Terezi don't seem... happy about that but they just kinda, let it go. I imagine given this is not a story with major conflicts, that this won't come up again. So... is this intended to be a bad thing, and we're meant to be left with negative feelings that the crew don't want to do anything to face this injustice, or is it... genuinely intended as a "good" solution?

Anyway, I don't wanna be too critical. I think mostly it just, wasn't for me and wasn't what I was looking for, but wondering if that moment stood out to anyone else, or if anyone else has thoughts about it.

that moment definitely did stand out to me when i first read it too! idk, its something that makes me wonder what the intention was with it at the time, and if they are going to do anything with it now... idk!
