re: duplicate threads

i've been loving the forum so far, but one thing im noticing a lot lately is that the lack of a search has compounded with people not necessarily following forum etiquette to make a *ton* of duplicate threads, and in my opinion it's started to get sort of out of hand. is ther anything that can be done about that? it's starting to get frustrating seeing discussion of stuff split up between, like, five different music threads or what have you that all serve the same purpose.
