Request for some clarification on the current situation?

Stalking previous members of the team and misgendering. Most of the direct stuff is gone bc the previous team memeber deleted their discord and stuff bc they felt unsafe. I was there, as it was happening, so let's say this is a witness account. As for the other stuff, that I personally have been claiming, when Husse established "The Silent Mill" to publish Psycholonials, Gio immediately published the address listed for that, which was very likely just Hussie's house given they're, y'know, an indivdual making a visual novel? The Silent Mill and everything related to it was taken down very soon after, I imagine so as not to repeat that situation.

About the pronouns matter, Hussie stated on Twitter in 2021 that "any (pronouns) are good".

In addition to that, there was a What Pumpkin communication using they/them for Hussie the same year.

It seems pretty clear that yeah, any pronouns are good.

Enbyphobes will tell you that it was Hussie "playing a role" for the promotion of Psycholonials. But it was never indicated anywhere, and there's no trace of joke in Hussie's answers on the matter.

RE: lyrichartwell I just... Have no idea what to even believe about this, because on one hand, your account does make sense, and there is a lot of stuff that feels incredibly fishy about the blog posts. But on the other hand, it feels too hasty to just assume Gio is lying.

Explicitly not shooting the messenger, but the footnote is a pretty thin excuse. Hussie has stated her pronouns publicly, and "well everyone else only uses he/him pronouns so I don't have to respect them" is... well, it's honestly just a little childish.

1: it's what you said, and indicates that Gio doesn't want to put in the very slight amount of effort to gender Hussie correctly because other people haven't

2: Gio doesn't actually want to use Hussie's pronouns and is taking any excuse he can to misgender her.

or 3: Gio is annoyed with Hussie and is using that as an excuse to misgender them, then slapped this excuse together for the footnote to not look bad.

and any of those ways, this doesn't look good at all.

Gio lies. Gio has lied. Gio will continue to lie. They aren't a reporter, they are an opinion blog. A very skillful writer who loves implying things without directly saying it.

I recommend really sitting and spending time reading his articles. Past the "Homestuck is really over and threatening me", and more just. What is provable here.

Take out all of his hearsay and speculation and "text recreations of Discord chats" and all that's left is a bitter fake journalist mad becuz nobody important in the fandom wants to be around them anymore, not realizing shit like this is the exact reason why.

He is counting on people to be worried about the fandom disappearing and fancreations getting taken down. But the truth is much simpler: Gio got rejected for making people feel unsafe. And they are throwing a tantrum about it.

Re;sleepyhistorian + timeless yes, that does mean you can choose he/him, but it's that it's the *only* pronoun Gio used even when linking a source that uses they/them pronouns for Hussie.

To add on to what Shelby said, if Gio made the choice to acknowledge Hussie's pronouns but only use he/him, that'd be one thing. But in the footnote he instead made it seem like Hussie's pronouns aren't "official" and that everyone else in the story only used he/him for Hussie. The more cynical side of me is inclined to think that Gio mentioning that Miles and others only use he/him for Hussie is meant to insinuate that they're not really using any pronouns.

In any case, it kinda shows Gio's mindset -- if he was innocently using he/him, he probably wouldn't have felt the need to try and justify that he was using the right pronouns and expecting someone to give him (publically available) proof otherwise.

I do agree with what youre saying, but I feel like this can't be so simply summed down to "Gio is a liar and creating problems for the hell of it", Dio is definitely not a reliable narrator, just by the way they write you can tell this is someone with a creative writing degree overcomplicating word choice to get more of a rise, but some of these things simply can't be false unless Gio was forging literally everything in the blog.

Not to mention not every PR nightmare related to Hussie had to do with Gio, so much of that is of his own accord.

Unfortunately it seems like were gonna have to bear the storm for a while to see if theres any official statement about all of this that could debunk a majority of the blog.

You know business addresses are registered with your state government and free for literally anyone to look up from your business name, right? This is why nobody ever uses their personal address, or REALLY REALLY SHOULD NOT. It's the whole reason P.O. boxes exist. I don't think there is a reasonable expectation that a corporate address is someone's house because that would be just flagrantly negligent for a business owner to do. Is there more to this story or is it just a literal public record you're talking about?
