let me introduce you to an old beauty i like to call Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been by my good buddy Joyce Carol Oates. it takes her a minute to get going but when she gets going, woof! you seem like the kinda fella who likes a nice good ol fashioned yarn about the death of innocence and boy oh boy will this do it for youse

then here what have this little number called Incident On And Off A Mountain Road by Joe R. Lansdale and let me tell you, this story's got everything: a serial killer, a protagonist who takes no prisoners, and a nice creepy forest setting.

and here's a little fella i don't think youse woulda heard of before, Abandonware by Genevieve Valentine. a woman finds a livestream showing a deer. she becomes absolutely fuckin obsessed with it. also the deer is a metaphor or something i dunno. ok ok i'm aware i'm not sellin this the best but you gotta trust me, the horror is in the atmosphere.

(now. i don't normally do this. but i like youse, kid. so i'm gonna recommend you something from my secret stash. now i'll level with ya. it's not horror, and i know you're looking for horror, but somethin tells me you'll like it all the same. it's called Playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain by Jamil Jan Kochai and, well, the title really sums it up, hehehe.)
