People decide to believe things in the heat of the moment and then get very intent about believing and defending those ideas. Victoria is a hundred percent right about the language being the kind that makes people leap to their own conclusions. Hell, when I first read everything I fell for it. Then you realize no actual solid information was provided. We need to keep our collective noses out of this. Going round and round on a scrap of rumor as we all tear each other apart, helps no one.
