So, there's this idea I've had for a while that I've never really been able to get out of my head. It's not entirely supported, but honestly the things that most directly contradict it are honestly kinda dumb so they can be discarded.
Anyway.
I don't think anything can die in the Monster Hunter universe.
I first had this idea when thinking about how you can carve organs out of some of the smaller animals and then they just get up and leave. That shows that at least that much isn't enough to kill them, and I believe that logic can be extended further. I don't think anything actually dies. I think that, no matter the injury, it will eventually heal.
For one, it would explain why the hunters are able to fight these monsters at all, cuz like... C'mon. It would also work well with how capturing monsters gets you more stuff, cuz if you have a monster captured, you can cut its parts out, wait for them to regrow, then do it again. They probably release the monsters before too long because of cruelty laws or something, but it's still more than they'd get from a haphazard carving in the field.
I also think it helps explain how this world can exist at all. I mean, if there's enough gore magalas flying around that you can farm them even if they die, how could any civilization exist? There's a damn bone hydra. I'm dead just thinking about it. You think a weird cat is gonna survive?
It makes way more sense to me if the super strong monsters only have one or maybe a handful in the world. So like, yeah, you're probably still anxious about Gammoth if you live in the snow cuz if it walks over your town you have to rebuild everything and it'll suck, but at least you're not dead, cuz that's not a thing.
So. Agree or yes?
what if the eggs only hatch when ones killed
it speaks in the third purrson sometimes, dont be alarmed :3
