this thread is for posting of swords. ALL swords. Anything which could conceivably be identified as Bladekind. Swords with funny handles or funny blades (spears, scythes) count.
Do not post about knives, or you will be smited by blade. go to knifelovers thread for that. remember, striking > stabbing.
As a practicing longsword fencer I endorse this thread.

im going to use this opportunity to rant about something. I HAVE A SWORD. I GOT IT FOR CHIRSTMAS. AND NOBODY IN MY FAMILY BUT ME THINKS ITS COOL. ITS AN ARMING SWORD BASED OFF ONES THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR USED. ITS VERY FUCKING COOL AND ITS UNAPPRECIATED IN MY HOUSE. FUCKER IF SOMEONE COMES IN THE HOUSE WITH INTENT TO HARM I CAN GET THEM, WE DONT HAVE A GUN. I'M THE ONLY ONE WITH A VIABLE WEAPON IN MY ROOM.

Longsword fencing has always seemed sick as hell. There's a HEMA group in my city with a good reputation but I'm always flat broke when I get the time or way too busy when I've got the money for lessons so I can't ever get into it. Alas and alack and all that. One day, eventually, I will know how to use a sword. But until then, mad respect to everyone else willing to swing around a big chunk of metal and hit your friends and have your friends hit you, seems like good fun.
