So, a new episode dropped, and I fucking loved it, but I'm wondering what you all think about it.
Hiya. Just a random question, but you know what a majority vote is?
every episode justifies me thinking jax fanart needs to have him be meaner on purpose instead of nice and sweet and genuine. he is a trainwreck to be filmed not saved and fixed
i think the chess piece one is hot
she was used up
iswear these things keep dropping out of nowhere when i least expect them. not my favorite out of gooseworx's stuff but it's decent. i'd interact with it more if it was less prone to attracting kids and content slop channels (neither of these is the shows fault just an unfortunate consequence of being colorful + hosted on youtube for free)
This episode was incredible! But... the fact that (cough, almost) everyone is (cough, mostly) okay by the end somehow scares me more than any of the actual events of the episode lmao
nobody replied to my digital circus thread no likes i bet. this episode was really funny though it feels like they hit a stride
this episode just made all of the cast my favorite but ESPECIALLY jax, kinger, zooble and ragatha like good grief
also shout out to michel's voice acting it was so uncomfortable to watch but so exciting at the same time it was such a delight

that zooble thing is nonbinary right i keep seeing people she/her that thing and it's making me not want to interact with the fandom even moreso . anyways yeah i liked the new episode
@calvin oddly enough even before the Homestuck pilot trailer, I saw a supposed Homestuck content farm thumbnail in the wild. I cannot post it due to the subject matter of the thumbnail, but I have seen it.
@calvin Also yes Zooble is they/them afaik for vague "discovering themselves" reasons from what I recall. Gooseworx is trans though; so, obvious nonbinary/trans reasons are obvious imo.
The new episode honestly made me start having almost spades feelings for Jax tbh.
Hiya. Just a random question, but you know what a majority vote is?
I think, now that we know Jax sees his role as being the funny one, it's worth taking another look at how he utterly can't handle the other half of his brand of being funny: being the butt of the joke. He likes to model himself as a Bugs Bunny, always getting one over as he antagonizes everyone else, but the thing is... Bugs Bunny isn't always the one in control. It completely changes based on the situation (i.e. on the cartoon, or even on the scene). There's plenty of Bugs cartoons where he's on the receiving end. Being Bugs Bunny doesn't mean never being at someone else's mercy, it just means being what the joke needs. Jax chafes under that. He visibly hates it when Ragatha makes his gun backfire on him. Because he's not Bugs Bunny. He's a real guy, desperately grasping for control over his life and the lives of everyone around him. He could handle it if he really was an unthinking cartoon automaton like he wishes he was, but he's not. If he doesn't have control, if he gets hurt, he gets upset. Real, human-style upset.
the man's a tragedy born of circumstance. i wanna see him consigned to the most painful fate i can imagine: surviving this ordeal, picking up the pieces of himself and learning how to be a person again
You have been invited to partake in the GAME OF GODS. YOU are JUNE EGBERT, taking your seat at the BLUE SIDE of the table, and we are all VERY PROUD OF YOU. Your opponents are THE LATE NAGITO KOMAEDA, FUNKO POP VRISKA SERKET, and SOME GUY IN A HAT.

I finished watching the new episode yesterday with a friend. Jax is going to abstract right? Like thats the direction his character is going in right
i'm more focusing on caine than jax tbh, it seems like he has some serious stuff going on, hes progressively getting less and less interested in adventures, and is noticing that he's not as appreciated as he might have thought. im more leaning towards it revealing that npcs can abstract as well. since kinger revealed that they can do what they believe they can, maybe caine is just delusional as hell.
TADC has become a bit of an obsession. I didn't even expect to like it - the brightly-cloured style put me off it, but I saw the pilot premiere and went "I'll give it a chance, cos it's Glitch."
Gooseworx seems to mainly write music, with minimally-animated videos, but they've also done a handful of extremely surreal little cartoon films. There's Little Runmo, about a cute computer game character who ends up in the dark realm below his level, meeting such entities as the Meatball Man. And the Pink City world, full shape-headed people who would make Zooble feel right at home. My favourite of those is "Elaine Gets Adopted," in which a mute bounty-hunter gets taken home as a pet and has a very bad trip.
Compared to that, TADC is holding back on the hallucinogenic weirdness. The scripts are much more coherent - but also really, really good. A surprising amount of psychological depth to them.
"This is StuckUnderHell, nor am I out of it." - Mephistopheles
Zooble uses any pronouns, to correct the Zooble discussion from earlier. They is mainly used in the show though and they ARE nonbinary!! But yeah
Anyway I am so sooo excited for the new episode. Oh my god Jax. Help
=: hope jax surv:ves part:al abstract:on and ðen trans:t:ons
Gooseworx posting this after the recent episode back-to-back is wild is all I'll say. 😩
I love Ragatha...she can do no wrong...get behind me Ragatha I shall protect you from the deadly misogynistic throes of Twitter and Tiktok.
i love how fucked up this guy is my lord. go to therapy.
