My personal theory ( antil Al explains it half-right, or Vriska explains it half-wrong, and then it becomes Headcanon) is that it's a game construct,
like god tier obviously, but one that sorta mimics A Post Game situation,
like you god tier'd and you got your reward and you expend a hole lota time in there and because it's been like years and you have grown as Pearson significantly, you can go away and do something else,
explore old and new and waht not. hence Vriska senior(senior for reals now) having a literal portal in the crown situation.
What do you guys think?
I personally think that twarting Rose's vision is a (boosted) Light aspect thing separate from the hell portal, but would love to hear more takes.
Ygnore tipos IS like a beet or somethyng!!!!!!! :3
I am totally on board with the idea that it's a Sburb mechanic, mainly because I maintain the theory that Sburb never ended and they have been playing the game this entire time without realizing it lol.
ooh ive never heard the theory that theyre still playing the game? or that theres like post-game sburb mechanics just Out There. those are really interesting theories i like them a lot
what who said that
i feel like the name helltier is just a vriska thing but the concept itself could be a game mechanic yes
@elegantspinstress I am personally a existence itself has always facilitated the game would be played girlie so I kinda resonate with this idea. I know I talked about it in a different forum thread but don't remember what i said. Existence is Sburb itself and maybe always has been a sort of new game+ type thing. Gameception basically and we're in however many layer deep with Dirk deciding he's gonna make a modded run of it.
Hell is the absence of God.
to reach the god tiers is to become a "fully-realised" X of Y; it's Sburb's idea of reaching adulthood by growing into the strict role it has in mind for you, so you can be a good, well-behaved parent to the universe it expects you to create.
but the role Sburb sets out for you isn't always the healthiest direction for you to grow in as a person. being a Thief of Light constantly hungering for more relevance and more fortune was holding Vriska back as a person. so the Hell Tiers were a way for her to change the trajectory of her life, into a form that better suits her as a well-adjusted adult and which can help change the course of the story as a whole.
that's my take :)
>eats somewhere other than olive garden once
>fucking dies
jakemorph your mind... this is such a perfect explaination
Helltier Vriska still exhibits her godtier powers incidentally. Her last act before decapitating Jane is to literally steal the light of the moon itself, plunging the whole scene into darkness so Jane can’t see her coming.
And will we let the fire go out?
Is this the end for them now?
Sunken ship that has long gone down
Will we let the fire go.. out?
