The boat can carry only the The Homestuck Fandom and one other thing – the wolf, the goat or the cabbage, so the The Homestuck Fandom will need to make a few trips to boat all three over to the other side.
During the boating, The Homestuck Fandom will always have to leave two things on their own on the banks of the river. For obvious reasons, the wolf cannot be left alone with the goat – he will devour it. The goat cannot be left with the cabbage, because she will eat it. How then, can the The Homestuck Fandom transfer all three to the other side of the river, leaving them all intact?
the homestuck fandom SHOULD take the cabbage, then the wolf, then the goat. the cabbage doesn't do anything, the wolf won't eat the cabbage, and by the time the homestuck fandom has brought the goat over they've brought everything to the other side of the river.
the homestuck fandom WOULD pile all of their items on the boat until it sunk with the homestuck fandom in it. the cabbage would float to the top of the water and reach the other side of the river. it would then grow another mildly different homestuck fandom on the shore and the cycle would start again.

Take the sheep across, leaving the cabbage and wolf behind.
Go back, get the cabbage. Leave the cabbage on the far shore and pick the sheep back up
Take the sheep to the start, swap it for the wolf
Take the wolf across, leave it with the cabbage
Go back and get the sheep, and take it across
I'm 90% sure that's the right answer

Guys, I'm stuck. Think I've got most of the solution, but I can't get the last step.
Step 1: Merge Inventory: Sheep + Cabbage
Step 2: Merge Inventory: Sheebbage + Wolf
Step 3: Load Sheebbolf into Boat.
Step 4: Cross river.
Step 5: ????

There is no Step 5, once you bring the Cruxite Sheebbolf over the river, you'll enter the medium!
you have to remember unmerge the sheebbolf into it's constituents in order to complete the logic puzzle. i would say "you also have to make sure you choose a merging method that keeps the constituent parts in tact" but you seem to already have a grasp on inventory merge mechanics.

Now, it brings the cabbage over to the other side and comes back. Finally, the Homestuck Fandom brings the chicken over to the other side and has successfully crossed with all 3 items on its person.
