It took me about 2 weeks.

Everything about that was a wild ride. It surely was all such an amazing experience to read. From the story development to the characters, it was all so unique and quirky!!!!!

OMG THAT ENDING THO!!! I’m so glad the kids get to finally live in peace :) (no man I’m not reading beyond canon sorry the story ends with them living happily :P)

I’ll post a more in depth analysis of what I thought of the comic but for now I’m way too hyped up to even type something worth reading thru :PPP

I've noticed that the reputation of the ending started out in GoT S8/Rise of Skywalker-tier, but opinions have softened considerably over time, and I don't really see anyone upset about it anymore like I did when I first joined the fandom.

I think this might be because I started not long after the ending, and I didn't hate it, but that was because I was an archival reader of a series everyone else had waited years to see conclude. That abruptness was probably a big deal back in 2016, but here almost a decade later it's just the ending to a story you can binge in a few days.

yeah mobian, i think i had the same experience. many aspects of homestuck and related works that people complain about i don't really mind because i read it for the first time about two or three years ago. i wasn't around to agonize over things for years. when i first finished the comic i just thought it was a cute ending that they deserved, and that opinion hasn't really changed.

anyway i'm so happy for you gummy! welcome to the worst or best fandom ever, depending on who you ask. the vriska of fandoms, if you will. :::D

Congrats!

As someone who still hasn't finished it despite only having "Collide" and some dozens of pages to look at, I have to applause you for having done that.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And it is completely fine to stop there. Especially 'cuz before Beyond Canon, you got the Epilogues. And those are proly a read for when you're a bit older.

Hope the rest of your fandom experience is good :]

Glad you enjoyed the ending, I mostly just read a lot of post-canon fanfic, so uhhhhh.

Hiya. Just a random question, but you know what a majority vote is?

tbh while i would normally recommend the Epilogues to people who finish homestuck some of the content is just really harsh for younger readers T_T so idk, IMO I think its best to just not lol. You can instead play the games like Hiveswap or the Friendsim/Pesterquest which are a lot less heavy in tone and aren't full of really adult topics.

If you want a fluffy sequel thats a fanventure I recommend Homeslice, it was really cute but it's on hiatus for a while because they're looking for new writers and artists. Still a great comic though.

hm, yeah I’ve been hearing the Epilogues were a tad vulgar. I’ll check out home slice and see what the buzz is about. :3

If you haven't played Hiveswap yet, then I'd recommend taking a look at it! It's quite cute :>

I somteimes re-watch "Collide" to give myself a bit of a lift. I finished Homestuck for the 3rd time a few months ago, and it's still an intense experience.
