notorious transphobe and nazi lover giovan_h, who has run multiple harassment campaigns against Hussie and other Homestuck Team members is claiming Hussie manipulated him and Bambosh by trying to get them to sign an NDA in order to have an official partnership with Homestuck, he basically gave Hussie the run around for over a year, stalling about getting a lawyer to read up on the situation, this eventually lead to Miles coming back and saying that to move forward they need to have the licensing agreement and they wouldn't be discussing anything until it happened. From what I can extract from Gio's pretentiously long winded post, the legal entanglements basically put things on the books as 'official' and as such if the agreement fell through they had legally acknowledged UHC through the homestuck company, meaning the UHC is now a known unauthorized breach of copyright to the company, which weakens homestucks trademark and copyright, so Hussie either had to cease and desist them or they wouldn't be able to defend the copyright in the future if a blantant misuse of the IP happened. Gio threw a shitfit and acted like this was Hussie's plan all along and that Hussie just wants control over everything (Which makes no sense, if Hussie wanted to take down the collection he could) and the real kicker is that the UHC is still up! You can literally go straight to github and get it right now lmfao
