After the Homestuck animated pilot trailer came out, I saw people say it would be a musical because of vivzipops' involvement. I really doubt that, but it made me think. What scenes in Homestuck would have a musical number for it?
I think there would be a musical number for the lore explanation of the ancestors. There would probably also be a song for John when he's trying to get into the game before the meteor hits him. I can see it being super fast-paced n' stuff. I'm not good at explaining, lemme know what you guys think </3 X-PP

i think this is an interesting question because, while i can't speak to hazbin hotel or whatever's efficacy at musical storytelling, i can imagine this being good, and i think playing more on the existing structures of musicals could be great. with that in mind, i think that page 82 (the note desolation plays monologue) is begging for a kind of subdued, understated "i want" song.
