Ive seen a lot of critisism of the pacing, so i want to find what speed makes the video less like that. i tried 0.5x speed but it didnt help with the pacing and the slow bits felt too slow, but 2x speed made the fast explanations hard to understand, though it did help with the narrator sections. any recs for speeds/combos of speeds?
Definitely 0.25x for a first watch, really helps you absorb the dialogue. 1.0x scares me, a little too fast, as you said. On your 2nd or 3rd watch through, 4x worked well for me.

I've found that if you play it backwards at exactly X0.65, you can clearly hear a voice saying "John is dead" over and over again.
