This is about BEYOND CANON , not the epilogues, I think most people prefer the meat epilogues and I never read em so I can't ask about it.
Anyways, back to the main topic.
Act 1 of HSBC is over, we're onto the nypmhs now, so my question is: What do you guys prefer? Meat or Candy? Act 1 only, we haven't seen A2 Candy yet.
I personally prefer candy because of the last panels: I found the Vriska stuff compelling, I like the omega kids, art is wonderful, the last conversation between all the adults was engaging, I just liked it.
Meat does have Aradia, Alt-Calli and Terezi which IS a plus but honestly it felt more dissapointing. Rose And Rezi are interesting and I love alt-Callie but I am not a Dirk fan, and meat heavily centers around Dirk. Also when we focus on the other crew [Meat Dave's] it ends up feeling like filler too.
Early Candy is probably worse than early meat but late candy is wonderful and everything has a purpose meanwhile meat CAN be good and it did also pick up more at the end it just didn't feel as strong as late Candy.
Meat ACT1 might be more important but I just find Candy ACT1 more engaging.
