Xenoblade and All Encompassing Properties Thread

i still think xenoblade 3 has some of the worst gameplay i've ever seen in a videogame in my entire life, but somehow balanced this out by having one of the single best narratives i've ever seen in an rpg. i don't know how to describe it. it was enrapturing in a way i've never really seen before. it helps that i played it during a heatwave where i was confined to a small room with nothing but a bed and a nintendo switch, but. wow. jeez. i don't really know how to explain it.

Admittedly I haven't played xenoblade 2 or xenoblade X to completion (my xenoblade x copy got ruined when i was like. 16 and i only watched a playthrough of 2 though I intend to remedy these things when I get the money to do so) but yeah. Xenoblade 3's combat is just kind of lackluster to frustrating at times compared to 1, even if it has quality of life features that 1 doesn't like being able to switch characters on the fly.

i was hoping someone would post about xenoblade cause im a huge fan lol. finally getting around to finishing 3 after however many years, dont know why i havent considering xenoblade is like my favorite video game series but yeah T-T. kinda terrified for the ending because i know they made the harem canon but i hope its good :3.

xenoblade 3's combat system is really funny because it added stuff like dodging and character switching and other stuff that everyone had been asking for and somehow that made it worse. dunno bout yall but i literally never switch characters unless someone is dead or about to die. 2 definitely had my favorite combat system (torna's is even better but thats a deep cut), though i have not played more than a few hours of x and considering that game is more combat focused I would assume its even better in that one.

just bought the first xenosaga game, super exicted to play that, i know pretty much nothing about it besides kos-mos and jesus is there for some reason.
