Quite possibly the cartoon that meant the most to me as a teen. Now that's a show that deserved six seasons and a movie. It feels like it mostly slipped past notice, and I could whine for hours about that, but I'm still immensely grateful for the show we did get.

If you have watched it, post something you liked about it! Again, I could go on for hours about things I like about OK KO, but I'll just go for the obvious one. I really like T.K.O and his interactions with K.O. I've got a soft spot for "super-powered evil side turns out to really just be plural representation", and I felt like OK KO did that real well. My love's only grown stronger with time.

I watched it when I was younger! Admittedly I don't remember much ^^; but I heard that the art style for the show was specifically chosen so young fans could have an easier time drawing the characters? If thats true information and not misinfo, then thats super awesome in my opinion :]

@a1m3v As an insane nerd who looked up everything he could about his favorite show after it got its final episodes and I was coping with the loss, I'm pretty sure that's completely true

The main philosophy of the show's art style is, "If the character's recognizable, they're not off-model." That's not to everyone's taste, and that's fine, people are allowed to be wrong, but as someone who, at the time, was just getting over his personal "uh I guess Steven Universe committed art crimes for going off model to sell certain shots better, even though I didn't really care about that until people pointed at it and told me it was a problem" phase, that shit's all kinds of inspirational to me, I think OK KO wouldn't be half as funny without the weird fuckass expressions and poses it makes the cast pull

The SU slander is so funny when you look back on it. Like 99% of the offmodel shit is .5 seconds of screentime and it's so bizarre how people were going wild about it

OK KO is sooo good. my favourite thing about it is probably just how much everyone involved seems to love animation. also it's probably my fave instance of the storyboard-driven approach in TVA; different storyboarders' styles really feel like they have room to flourish! it almost reminds me of the anime FLCL in that way. must have been a really fun show to work on.

TT: I might splinter.

TT: But I don't break.
