so true i also really only gaf about yiffy. granted i dont hate the jaderose plot point in the first place because i can see vwhere it comes from especially regarding jade so there isnt any reason to dislike them in the first place in my opinion other than people being mad about their name but idk. i havwent fully read through postcanon on account of trying to hold back until i finish my normal homestuck reread but the only parts i havwe gone out of my way to go through vwere all the updates ovwer the past year and evwerything vwith yiffy so that probably says something.

also yiffy is a rage player to me this is important information

Yiffy definitely has the most potential out of the omega kids, even if she has literally 2 lines rn. And honestly I think the plotline she came from is great, it just wasn't developed well prior to the hiatus so people hated it for years. Really looking forward to seeing her in the game, though it'll probably be a while before Act 2 gets to her.

I adore her fairly nonverbal swagger. She's just neat :)

She's great! Every aspect of her is really well done, even with HS:BC's bumpy process. toxic jaderose child feels like fate. She's got a strong design and appearances, from A Threat Sensed to when she's actually seen aboard Jane's ship. I was going all sorts of crazy over the course of updates both placing significance on her and on C!Rose having a sense that the Guardians would be... Indisposed. It feels a bit like the rug's been pulled from under me, but I'm mostly just more excited. (If anyone can stick the landing, it's Tavvy and Yiffy.)

to the above: yes!!! both tavvy and yiffy are wonderful characters, tbh i like to imagine them in a moirallegience. i think it'd fix them.

I'm going to extrapolate, actually: I think Yiffy is one of my favorite characters in Homestuck explicitly because of her origin, because of the character dynamics she creates by existing. Because of her name. Nobody ruined anything on the road to Yiffy. She only enhances the ingredients that are already there. I also just really love her idgaf attitude towards everything. Her design fucking owns, too. I do kind of miss that second stripe on her socks but I'll live.

before Ly'lac, Yiffy was the sole reason i wanted to read HS2. she had such a cool design, and when i finally read the comic, she quickly became my favorite of the new-gen characters. she's sick of everyone's bullshit and will make it known, what's not to love?

i'm not the biggest fan of cucknaya, but also Yiffy wouldn't be Yiffy without cucknaya, and i choose to believe Yiffy was worth it. Yiffy will save us. Yiffy will single-handedly win the session. Yiffy will defeat Lord English again, just for fun.
