You crawl on your ass until you feel your back against the cold, metal door. You shiver a little. You use the handle to pull yourself up, your breath shaky and your legs feeling weak. For good measure, you jiggle it a little and confirm that it is indeed locked.

You start following the left side of a wall, making a mental map of the place as you do.

As you get closer and closer to the right side of the room (from the perspective of you with your back against the door, for clarity) the pungent smell gets worse and worse until your keen SCHNOZOMETER tells you you're right next to the source.

Quickly continuing until you hit the door again, you determine that you're stuck in a square room with a few furnishings. You can pretty accurately tell how big the room is, too. With a full mental map, you have halved the rate at which you will probably stub your toe.

You follow the left wall back to the top left furnishing, carefully running your hands across it. You find a handle to what can easily be assumed to be a drawer, which you open. You hear a few small items rattle around as you do, but you can't tell what they are just from sound.

You carefully reach your hand into the drawer and feel about. There are a total of three items. One is a small, rubber ball, the other feels like a pen, and the third is what seems to be a sheath without a dagger in it.

You drop the pen into the sheath. It clatters around a little bit.

You make your way to the bottom left of the room and run your tongue against the furnishing there. Your face recoils as your TASTEOMETER goes into the negatives. It appears you have licked a bed that has had some unpleasant materials seep into it.

You do not like this room.

You make your way back to the drawer and grab the ball, bouncing it a few times for good measure. Thanks to some pretty good coordination, you're able to catch it. While it might not prove useful, it never hurts to have a small, rubber ball on your person. You take the pen and sheath while you're at it.

You consider it heavily and elect to make that a personal philosophy of yours. Also, you're not doing that again. The taste is still on your tongue.

You promptly do as such. Bleh! That does not taste good and has a much stronger aftertaste. However, it is not urine, so in your book it is infinitely better.

The lower right furnishing seems to be a locked chest, you’ll have to look around for the key if you want to open it.

You take the pen out of the sheath and rattle it around in the keyhole for a bit, but it doesn't do anything. Worth a shot, at least.

Based on how it feels, it's a wooden table. There is a photograph frame and a notebook on it, though without a light source of any kind you can't make out what either item contains. There is also a second locked chest, though this one is much smaller.

Taking the pen out again for extra caution, you poke the smelly thing with it while plugging your nose. It's soft, but a little firm.
