In topic: "So why are we so staunchly defending Hussie?"

That's an understandable impression from the perspective of "Gio v.s. Hussie", but very few to no people are under the impression that Hussie has done nothing wrong -- they've done plenty wrong and it's all quite well known. The arguments against Gio's post aren't out of loyalty to Hussie, they're out of looking at Gio's words critically. His post is written in a very inflammatory way, and clearly is meant to present Gio, Hussie, and the whole situation in a specific and intentional way.

Some of his more... questionable choices in the post, along with the word of people who have Gio or knew him in the past, make him not come off as very trustworthy. That doesn't mean he's entirely wrong, or that Hussie hasn't done anything wrong in this situation, but it does mean it's not wise to take everything Gio says at face value.

Or, to put it shortly, Hussie having a long history of royally sucking does not make Gio trustworthy for accusing them of something new. It's entirely possible that "Gio is making false, stretched, or biased claims" and "Hussie did something stupid again" will both end up being true.
