I was in the Official Homestuck Discord a few months ago when I was rereading and the vibes in that place are fucking rancid lol. I couldn't talk at all about theories or headcanons I might've had, people were generally incredibly hostile towards me for just talking in the Homestuck channel about me reading Homestuck. I eventually left because I got tired of 5 or so people jumping in to "debate me" on things that weren't even arguments or whatever. I'd say some shit like "I THINK *insert character* LIKES THIS OTHER THING." and there'd be people jumping down my throat to be like "YOU CAN'T THINK THAT, READ THE COMIC FUCK ASS!!"

One time I said jokingly that Hal reminded me a bit of ChatGPT because of how Dirk described him being trained off of previous chatlogs, and oh my god you would have thought I had said Hal was no better than a Chatbot and that he was a terrible character. So it doesn't surprise me that this Discord might have had a checkered past just because it still holds people who are kind of assholes about fandom I'm ngl
