I fear that this rhetoric is dangerous. Dismissing Gio's post out of hand because he has a history of being transphobic is exactly how someone like Hussie would get away with the alleged behaviors if they turn out to be true. The things that supposedly happened to Gio are disgusting regardless of whether or not Gio himself is a bad person. If this is actually a pattern of behavior as Gio claims, it can and will have happened to someone who is not a bad person, who is either unwilling or unable to speak up about it.

Just to put my cards on the table here, I am inclined to believe Gio right now. Miles' response didn't address the main problems Gio seemed to have. I am waiting to see what Hussie has to say before taking any of the extremely limited action I can take, of course, but that's where I'm at right now.
