sealing paint became such a freaking issue for me that i entirely switched from face PAINT to colored FOUNDATION by sunset makeup. this is not a paid ad i swear i just think it worked so much better for me. i use their white for mettaton cosplays but they have a grey as well. the main reason i swapped is that the more paint + setting powder + setting spray you have on, the more you can really really feel how much gunk is on your face. it really fucked with my sensory issues and then i didnt care if it was staying on or not- at that point i wanted it off again. switching to a foundation thats meant to not be felt so much was really great for that in particular! if you can afford it, many homestucks i know use sunset makeup's grey for trolls now. i think having a variety of methods at your disposal is really great, just for options!
