@acidiccarnation I’ve had those exact same thoughts too! Like perhaps they got Roxy and Dirk’s assigned genders wrong. I think it would give both of them a bit more conflicting views on their genders because I know both of them love and respect their guardians, and want to live up to their expectations even though the alpha guardians have been dead for 413 years.
@vriskazone YOURE SO RIGHT!!! I feel like I heard of that name inspiration but I completely forgot! That is a neat idea, and that got me thinking, you can interpret Calliope (and Caliborn since they shared the same body) not getting wings as a possible signs of a cherub intersex variation? I cant remember if the wing colors are sex-aligned or personality aligned, but I think it would be a very interesting interpretation if it is sex-aligned because I know some intersex variations result in no characteristics developed at all.
I know the canon reason for Caliborn not getting wings was because killing Calliope early stunted his development forever, but still, what I wrote could still be interpreted as a cherub intersex headcanon, right?
