You know this kind of ties back to what I was saying about how Hussie's lawyers backing away from this situation isn't indicative of it being true or whatever, because there's a bunch of reasons for why libel cases fail. Most people are very aware of the harassment campaign that happened, but the internet is unfortunately not actually "forever" and things can get lost pretty easily. The objective reality of what happened and what most people in the Homestuck fandom remember VS the physical or digital proof of these things happening contradict each other because we don't actually have an accurate account OF what happened. No one was archiving this, and the people involved wanted to just step back after it all went down.


And even if people were, it would be super easy to just dismiss it all by going "None of this matters + it's just personal attacks, people are allowed to call each other mean names on the internet," which is also true.
