@tavroscrocker Good news: humans can learn echolocation! And transhumanists who get a magnetic implant can reportedly learn to "map out" nearby magnetic fields. A friend of a friend had to get theirs removed due to infection and it was very distressing, like a part of them was taken :(

@1ant: Very rarely, I've been able to fall asleep while maintaining my lucidity, so I never feel any discontinuity. Of course, if I ever manage to stay asleep for more than a few minutes in that state, my brain would eventually shift to another dream because of REM cycles, so that doesn't really solve the problem... It's still one of the WILDest things I've ever experienced :)
