It's just kinda hell on Earth out here. I could drag out a whole ass debate here but it's just kinda hell on Earth.


This is a little bit broader than the topic but my lingering fear with the Homestuck cartoon isn't that it's going to be bad, but that it's going to be "good". You cut out the long rambly dialogue gags, you cut the anticlimaxes, you smooth out the edges and the creases and you make the uncomplicated fantasy adventure that settled in the imaginations of white teens in 2014. The Homestuck you see on all the t-shirts.


Homestuck started as a pretty white and cishet comic from a Bostonian, and coming back to Act 1 I get how this would play into the approach but it's concerning how literally none of the later comic and postcanon's leans even feel echoed in here, the pilot is being pitched and sold as "we're bringing back 2012stuck" and like. Man.
