yea i can see that being an issue with the pilot as a whole if its played straight. but i also have some hope in andrew hussie as a writer that maybe itll go in a different direction that isnt just "2012 in 2025" nostalgiabait, but something maybe like the scott pilgrim anime that engages the original story AND modern discourse at the same time.
