Well the most simple way I can describe how to do that is to take what the aspects represent on a narrative level and see how they apply to your or your friends lives. What aspect has the most significance in their life? Once you answer that, you need to ask why and how that is. Their relationship with it determines the class.
Homestuck is a story and it's gimmick is that it's very self aware of it, which is why canonicity is such a prominent concept. To classpect yourself you have to view your life as a story where both you and the universe are the writers. Because your aspirations impact your class just as much as the way you currently are, reaching towards your aspirations is you writing the story.
