Oh candlesticks this is going to be hard for me, since I keep a "quote book" and it's filled with over 100 different quotes from 100 different people, and I'm still adding to it. I'll try to narrow them down into categories.
Most relatable to me specifically: "The mind is fragile, it will collapse at the slightest touch if your aim is steady. Please protect it." - Mario.
Most smart/wise sounding: “I know the price of longevity, now more than ever. But when I first graced these shores, and I saw these mortals at war with one another, I knew that transforming them was no way of restoring them. I had to preserve their sins as much as their virtues. Harmony without chaos, after all, is a prison, and being ignorant of it is the one true Hell.” - Verlax.
Most currently relevant: “The [Online Poisoned] often even joke with self awareness about their bad internet habits, but [they] just keep doing it. That’s how obsessive preoccupation works, and it’s an accelerator of these forms of online cultism. No one needs me to tell anyone this, but stories can always serve as reminders.” - Andew Hussie
(One of the) Most entertaining: "There is some subset of humans on this earth, that pirate games, but pay for cheats. let that sink in" - Vantier.
Most iconic for me specifically: "time is a crime. space is a waste." - Short Skirts and Explosions.
(One of the) Most inspiring: "To be human is to be an eternal wanderer... it's up to you to discover the new vistas of life... no one else will clear the way!" - King.
(Another one of the) Most inspiring: "Rainbows won't light up the sky unless you let it rain, and candles just won't glow until they're burned." - Autumn Blaze.
Most inspiring + entertaining: "Failure is a step to success. Afterall, taking risks is learning that there will be times where you succeed and times when you will fail. Don't be so hard on yourself when you fail. It's better making mistakes than to do nothing at all. But if it helps, just remember that one day the sun will explode and everyone will not even be alive to remember all your failures." - kurumeuruki.
Most inspiring + thought provoking: "Excellence is not an art, it's pure habit. We are what we repeatedly do." - The Edge.
Dang that was still probably too much but at the same time I feel I've only just scratched the surface of all the good ones I have... so I guess that probably means this might be a good compromise in terms of quantity.
"eat a big piece of bread, but dont say big words"
