i had all the dvds for seasons 1-8 and was obsessed with the show growing up. in fact as homestuck was just starting in 2009, i remember looking up information about the then newest iteration, the back to earth special...good times.
i havent really watched anything past....season 11 i think??? 12??? its been a long time. i mean to get around to it but i always forget.
i just think the show is Neat and Funny and i know the intersection of homestuck fans and red dwarf fans is small but they have to exist....where are you all.......

DUDE so many ppl in my life tried to get me to watch red dwarf. my boyfriend has that shit on DVD but the problem is every time i've watched it i've been drunk so the only episode i remember is the reverse time one (and it was pretty good. to be fair)

Red Dwarf is amazing. Hilarious and brilliant, aggressively DIY but in a way that becomes visually stunning as the seasons go along. I watched I think seasons 1-6, skipping 7 and 8.
I really recommend the Red Dwarf/Better Than Life books if you liked the series. They add a very different spin and they easily rival Douglas Adams' works.

When I was a kid, I read those books so much that they fell apart. I will absolutely say Rimmer is one of my favourite characters of all time, and the moments where he is Narratively Trapped to be an asshole failure awful person are some of the best character writing I've seen, and extremely homestuck in hindsight. He gets a really good ending too.
