I hope it's okay to be making topics like this. But I was chatting to a friend (@garbagewitch) about how there's not enough Jade content in Post Canon and it made me think about how I heard about Liminal Space years ago and that it was a really good exploration of Jade and her psychology, so I recommended it to her and decided to give it a shot myself
I dunno how far I am through it, but I absolutely love it. The art style is so cute and evocative of them as like, adult people, and it is just... really tragic but in a way that always centers humanity and gives you a deeper understanding of how the characters feel about and are affected by these things that happened to them. I also appreciate the pacing between little almost gag type comics, or exploring a short concept, and then the longer stories.
The one about Jade meeting John on Prospit before she knew who he was was really good, and it was especially cool to see a bit of Jade's relationship with the White Queen! I also thought the art in that bit was the cutest :>
This bit is so funny and the evil smile beforehand is drawn so well, i love how Dave and Rose's sibling relationship is depicted in this comic
welcome to peak... i think that liminal space is one of the most emotionally moving pieces of homestuck writing i've ever seen. floral... wherever you are... you saved this world.
Eesh, getting into the Candy Epilogues stuff, into Yiffy stuff, into Jade's relationship with Jake... it's really rough. May need to take like, an emotional break soon I suppose haha. But I think it's good, that this is really making me feel the same things Candy made me feel, but with a different perspective character, getting to see how it really affects Jade this time, rather than having her always be at a distance. It's a very valuable perspective, even if it's not easy to swallow :>

the writing in this is soooo good like all the character's are THERE, it uses art to convey emotion and feeling so effectively, I can 1000% see why floral was picked for the HICU this is peak
oh! i'm caught up! wow! well, i guess my thoughts stand as above! it's peak. it understands the characters so well, is so good at ripping your heart apart with emotion, with a masterful understanding of symbolism... it's so so peak.
With floral on the Beyond Canon team I'm guessing this won't update for the foreseeable future? I'd love to see more of it, but as is, it's still one of the best HS fanworks I've ever heard. And just an incredible webcomic in its own right.
