The rules seem vague on this. I've seen a few threads on the forum labeled 18+, either because the topic is explicit or because it concerns a fanwork with explicit material, but its difficult to tell what the boundaries are.

Images with explicit content is not allowed, outside explicitly stated exceptions. Well, the rules would naturally be the place to explicitly state those exceptions... What are they?

The code of conduct also discourages NSFW text outside designated areas, but fails to explain what those areas are. I presume they just mean any thread marked 18+ by the OP, but it's difficult to tell if such threads are allowed across the entire forum, or only certain subforums. Of all the rules/guidelines, I think these ones should be as clear as possible, it's not really the place to leave it up to vibes and a case-by-case basis.

I have been wondering this too. Especially because there is no way to mark posts as mature just yet. I personally dont like how vague the rules are and how accessible those threads are if all someone has to do is write “18+” and hope for the best. I know a mature filter will get implemented because I heard a mod say it’s a planned feature, and I hope that happens because that would be awesome. But in the meantime I fear that with the current looseness of these rules, something bad could occur. Nothing has though to my knowledge, which is good, so I could just be overthinking it, but yeah, those are my thoughts.

I hope what I wrote doesn’t sound like I am against NSFW because I am not. I was just trying to agree with what your post said. I think there should be more clear rules about this because its important to do things responsibly.

I recall Margot asked about 18+ boards and a mod responded that it was on the docket but not quite a priority
