Please for the love of god let a Block button be the next update

@the_enemy This ain't even about that Goober, even a broken clock is right twice a day as the saying goes. You're part of the aforementioned people we will be blocking as soon as the feature rolls out.

^ Especially since it's the early days I have to imagine they're discussing and laying out a system of what is or isn't over a line and what do do in specific scenarios so any mod can just react if it happens again. i salute yall lmao.

@elegantspinstress I've at no point said anything transphobic, at least knowingly. If you have a concrete post you have a problem with, tell me and I'll either own up to what I said and work on doing better in the future, or explain if you've misunderstood me. I'm not going to do "a courtesy" on a public forum, especially if you're making baseless accusations against me.

being a mod is truly terrible. I always try my best to make as little trouble as possible for their sake in any space i'm in. i try to make my little heehoos as unexplosive as possible. thank you mods for being coolio

I know this is probably impossible/would be an Enormous pain in the ass to implement but I do wish that before a reply was added to a thread that it could like. check for new replies since you last loaded the page. I swear i see at least once a thread where someone posts something that they definitely meant in the context of a few replies previous, and would have edited it if they had reloaded. personally i've been typing up, copying, reloading the page, and then posting because I just couldnt take it anymore LMFAO.

@alexis ah yeah trueeeee timing can be awkward as Hell otherwise. 😩 I imagine instantaneous refreshes might be quite a load on the site? idk though, I've never ran one besides my uni projects.

hi everyone! sorry about all the inconvenience. we're trying to avoid rebuilding the site constantly, so we're planning on putting out site updates in big chunks at regular intervals. one of the main things we're hoping to add is some way of indicating when a mod takes an action so you don't just have to, like, assume whether we responded to a report or not. blocking is also on the list somewhere, but there's a lot more pressing features that're taking precedent (like replies, which dear lord do we need).

Especially after the drama that happened a couple of weeks ago now, I've noticed an increase of accounts that just post to be assholes or generally don't have basic respect for the other posters in the thread. A block button would be an outstanding feature.

all good i didn’t take offense, just wanted to clarify. don’t ever worry about us not seeing reports. they come through instantly, there’s just not an easy way for users to currently tell if we took an action based on them.

I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Youre genuinely doing a FANTASTIC job modding so far, hats off to you for working so hard to keep the peace in this forum!!!! It must be hard, but Im appreciative of the fact that that youre all working so hard on this space to make it good. Nothing but love for you all!

On the replies - as a stop-gap, a lot of people have taken to adding "Re: [user]" at the start of a reply to someone, to at least give a chance of following the conversation. (Not that tagging the user actually does anything yet, but given the fallout from the Drama Bomb at the start of the month, this may be a blessing in disguise.)

Basically all "mature" forum systems have a reply or quote system, along with a post editing function. I feel these would be the core critical functionality missing
