It annoys me to no end that Sollux's half-dead quirk is the whole zero thing. His whole thing is DUALITY, he is HALF dead, so MAKE THE QUIRK INVOLVE THE NUMBER ONE, WHICH IS HALF OF TWO.

I can see what you mean, but I would argue it's because once he goes blind, he doesn't want anything to DO with duality anymore. He doesn't just ditch the 2's and ii's, but he also stops replacing "to" and "too" with "two". He's done with the duality thing from that point on (which is odd for the Gemini troll, but makes perfect sense for someone who hates everything about himself). There's a nonzero chance it was also to make his quirk more readable since I believe Hussie regretted how intense some replacement quirks were lol

Plus, it's a nod to Aradia's pre-revival quirk, which is cute.
