Nakedbee's youtube channel is one of the most vibrant and amazing collections of Homestuck fanworks that exist period, so I had to make sure there's a thread for them here.
My favorite of them is The Smuppet Show, though Detective Pony is so entrenched in the minds of anyone who's watched/read it that's basically de facto Canon, I think. Remember longcat, Jane?
But The Smuppet Show is a single hour and a half long movie musical about Ultimate Dirk's feelings about Jake, post-epilogues, and everyone's general feelings of love lost in the novel. If you're just learning about the work of Nakedbee & friends, it's where I recommend you start:

'"I thought this was a love story," you say.
Your Lola's insistence has remained with you since the beginning, and you say these words in a quiet manner, with a shrug, as if to let these performers know it is fine, it does not matter that much, this thought—that maybe the definition of what a love story is could be stretched to include all that has up till now taken place. You say it like an apology. Like it is a thing to be apologized for.
A runaway child, charging through the porcelain shelves:
I thought this was a love story. I had hoped this was a love story.
You say it with shame, embarrassed at having said it, wishing you could take it back.
You say it, worried that you have betrayed some secret part of yourself that does not wish to be exposed—
an old gremlin in you, sick and yearning. You say it with hope.
Timid, and without conviction.
The hope of someone who knows they are about to wake from a dream to a reality they do not understand. The pub awaits, as does your empty bed.
I thought this was a love story.
You regret having said it; as if you know it will lessen the quality of the tale. Rob it of its smoke and shadow. But still, you say it.
And this moonlit body smiles. And from the wings the patting of the drums slowly builds, and the curtains behind the dancers rise. Because you are right, this moonlit body tells you;
This is indeed a love story. Down to the blade-dented bone.'

I've only watched theater of coolty once, I think. It did something to me though, because I woke up in a cold swear in an unfamiliar room wearing kamina shades. Which could be nothing. I kid of course, but its really good. Detective pony is probably the single greatest piece of English literature I think I've ever read and watched recreated with puppets. I don't even know if i'm exaggerating or not. Didn't even know the Smuppet Show happened though, I'll throw it onto my list!
I'm but a little lizard, there's something in my gizzard, 'twas put there by a wizard, they're 'bout to cast a blizzard!

sweat*. Sad theres not a post edit feature.

i do not know of these, off to watch Media!
I love how much Dirk tries to skip the plot in his own Smuppet Show, making pointed callbacks to Caliborn pointing out callbacks. It's the whole thesis statement, "simultaneously, and contradictingly, contrived and genuine".
Sometimes I forget that Detective pony isn't canon.
Re: sleepyhistorian
Technically it's dubiously canon since it's directly referenced in beyond canon a few times
I haven't finished Detective Pony, but I LOVE the Smuppet Show. It's such a good movie in general, and it drives me crazy that there are so many prequesites to enjoying it! You need to have read Homestuck.... and the epilogues..... and not hated them.....
It's SO. FREAKING. GOOD. I wish we had a way to put things in spoiler tags on this forum! Gahhhhh! OP, is this thread spoiler friendly or no?
I just wanna talk about a line from a twist... It was so good... OH MY GOD....

ALSO PLS USE FILE.GARDEN OR SOMETHING 2 HOST UR IMAGES IM BEGGING
I wish I could edit the title now, because that's a good question. I think I'll consider it spoiler friendly unless a mod steps in and says otherwise. No amount of text can replicate the actual experience of it, and this is a venue for discussion, so worrying too much about spoilers just neuters any ability to engage.
Also if we cant talk about Kanaya and Terezi's solo acts then why even be alive.
