it definitely does look that way, but i think it's just because it's displaying the channel that's currently selected. maybe it could be something in the future though, all of the boxes plus the two lines on the arrow add up to 11 spots, which could be notable?

The textures given in the discord's drop down are interesting it must be said. We already knew the full handle and tag list for the delta team from the last update but that's a good place to see them. And indeed perhaps see their secondary colours rather than just their text.
It's interesting in that it also confirms who is and who is not a nymph and satyr given the nymphs have pointy hats and the satyrs bent ones. AT having a "Spotted horse" pattern is also rather interesting too.
I'll be presently trying the names in the forum's naming insert to see what that reveals.

I'm aware of the Pesterchum desktop IRC app thing already, from my experience it's mostly used for RP. I guess someone could make anoher reskin, though this new chat client is a lot more feature-rich than Pesterchum was...
