Noticed nobody had made a Whistles thread yet so I thought I'd step up to the task.
Despite being axed mid-story, its DNA still echoes throughout stuff like Homestuck and especially Psycholonials, and I still think its a must read even if the lack of closure is forever heartbreaking. Its definitely my favorite of the more niche "MSPA"-adjacent works.
whistles was awesome, some of hussie’s best work. my favorite part is how the circus clowns are an allegory for racehorses.
This is some straight up delirious biznasty, Dawg!!
i love whistles the clown. hussie's regular art style is so deranged surreal and twisty that its a shame they haven't done a lot else with it.
youve made me wanna reread it now -v-
love whistles i gotta reread it, i really like that gumblin is sort of a proto dirk strider. i feel like elements of dirk sort of show up in andrew's older work a lot until he is inevitably created.
Hell yeah! Whistles! God, I wish we could see Hussie returning to that style once in a while.
i just read some of whistles the other day! really loved the art style in particular, god i think hussie's art style is so cool.

whistles fans rise up
shows off my sick loot:
woah @Vibri sick loot!!
where'd you get it signed?
general question for the thread. do any commentaries or interviews exist from huss exist for whistles the clown?
i havent seen hussie themselves talk extensively about her work on it ( which is a shame since it is a wonderful universe and id love to hear about how hussie feels about it )
we have got to create a whistles fandom space!!!!
Whistles is probs my fav non-homestuck thing of Hussie's. Well, at the very least pre-Homestuck, cause Psycholonials
I feel like Whistles shows some of the raw building blocks under a lot of hussies work. Like disturbing clowns and questioning society's rules has been an undercurrent in everything he has done. If anyone has a deep dive analysis of it I would love to see it.
i haven't read whistles in a while but that one panel with that big ass crater-like impact is always in my mind after a couple of years, like look at this shit it's a beautiful panel
