Yesss I love gojira and other progressive bands like meshuggah. I also really like lamb of god they're my second favorite after gojira. Sometimes I also dabble in a little deathcore like bring me the horizons first album and white chapel.

anyway i like power metal and heavy metal a lot because i am a nerd who is possessed by the soul of a divorced father.
metal In General is my favourite music genre besides industrial so you can imagine how i feel about industrial metal.

@brewuu in my opinion you can't really go wrong with anything from death or gojira if you want to delve a little deeper
decided to come back with a topster. threw this together super sloppy style. very djent/proggy overall but there's some power and death metal sneaking around in there.

I love metal to death, from nu metal to death metal to even the heaviest, saddest black metal.
band recs (no specific subgenre): Portal, Disrup, Psychea, Eths, Gwar, Left, Disturbed (but specifically their album Believe), Sherkan, and Perfect Nothing are some great ones.
band recs that have very explicit imagery for their album covers and whatnot (usually gore, best to warn yall): Putrid Stu, Last Days of Humanity, Violent Memories, Dysphoria..., Skribble, Single File Suicide, and Disgorge are all really good as well, in vastly different ways lol.
I've been diving into an artist called Jute Gyte, he does a really cool fusion of black metal, noise, and ambient music. My favorite albums by him are Krun Macula and Eclose, but those aren't really metal. For his heavier works I would recommend Oviri and Perdurance. Also check out Indwell by Methwitch, it's an amazingly scary and loud album, all done by one guy
this is mostly my excuse to talk about it but i love Mr. Bungle’s self titled, its funk metal/avant-garde metal and i just want more people to listen to it

anyways. I don't know if this artist is exactly metal (im bad at identifying where the borders btwn genres are), but there's definitely a lot of musical influence from the genre: Ando San's EP "OH KAY" is a really good mix of rap and just disgustingly good bass guitar.
