okay so title's not super clear so ill start. it made me hyper aware of how i or other people i know type, for one. also to this day i still reflexively do sets of 8 when i want to add many letters/dots. like, small stuff like that people who haven't read homestuck probably wouldn't notice
idk im just curious
Homestuck literally took over almost every single aspect of my life, I would not be who I am without it, so yes!
Even if the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have.
it absolutely has, i observe so many relationships through a quadrant lense now, mediating is ashen and hate is pitch and close friends are pale etc. its honestly really fun, especially as an aroace person i love analysing romantic relationships, even if theyre just romantic by troll standards. classpecting too, sometimes in my head ill assign real people classes or aspects if i feel it applies, its always just in the back of my mind. i also love classpecting fictional characters and friends/family if theyll tolerate it haha. and then the webcomic itself changed me in a way i cant really explain, rewired my brain chemistry or some shit. i think its shaped my personality a lot, and this story and these characters will always be so so special to me, plus Talking Like This Will Forever Remind Me Of Kanaya Now...
what who said that
@gaydog It all started with Adventure Time for me too!
And omg the capitalizing things for emphasis quirk/urge affects me so much too thanks to Kanaya. I do the Tavros comma thing too.

Other than typing, I have been making a lot of Fanon Homestuck content with my characters. It is really fun, and Homestuck has given me lots of concepts to play with. I feel like it is making me a little more creative. :]

Homestuck has helped me start small conversations with random strangers due to the fact I wear Homestuck merchandise when I'm out in public often. It's very funny getting compliments from people who do or do not know what Homestuck is.
Mario mario
started reading homestuck at such a young age and have continued being obsessed with it for so long that it is just totally engrained into my life and personality in ways i can not even begin to explain
@spinneret oh definitely same, homestuck was the first thing i actually read in english for one so a decent part of my sense of humor and manierisms in english come from it i think
@mario okay ngl thats pretty cool, i should get myself some too
I use the word "fuckass" as a common curse word. I say abscond, ascend, and descend sometimes now too. It certainly expanded my vocabulary. Also, partially got my name from it too; so, y'know there's that. 🌹

I'm also polyamorous now too in part thanks to Homestuck's casual nonmonogamy rep too.

Homestuck was like, the enormous butterfly that batted its grotesque wings in my direction thus blowing me away...
Made my first real irl friends at an HS meetup (i was 13)
I met so many trans people in the HS community that were so beautiful and influencial to how i behave today, without homestuck i LITTERALY wouldnt be ME today.
The way my brain conjures jokes, my inspirations and how i build up stories in my head, the feeling that even though its going to be a looong day i still have my friends...
And by friends by the way, every friend group or best friend i made was thanks to me and them knowing homestuck.

deadass I think it made me aware that I have a typing quirk and just never realized it lol. I always use "T_T" as a little crying face to express some kind of emotion, but I always use it even when I'm not actually sad. And I refuse to use the actual sad emoji...I have to type "T_T" at the end like some kind of punctuation.
Because of this, when I wanted to make my trollsona I decided her typing quirk would just be something simple...adding the "T_T" at the end of sentences lol
other than that though I say the phrase "I warned you dawg...!" way too many times Sometimes people who had the misfortune of reading Homestuck as well know what I'm referencing and I get to see them physically recoil in horror it's great.
i recognise 413 everywhere. i can't escape it.
ahah everyone goes thru the 413 thing too! im glad, cuz i felt super nerdy about it. anytime someone says 'i told you so' even if its not a direct quote i still think about those damn stairs. i also just follow a lot of HS artists on instagram and try to keep in touch with the community wherever it may be thriving. i also like setting some of my usernames to my favorite hs character chumhandles so i guess that counts
==> Be the Tough One With the Soft Heart.
Bit of a mundane thing but I got most of my online friends thanks to homestuck.
it has horrifically impacted my speech lol. i say random homestuck phrases in conversation so naturally i often don't intend to, as well as quote sbahj at every opportunity. it also inspired me to create more art which is cool
i truly dont think id be remotely the same person i am today if it werent for homestuck. like, there are quirks of speech and such that im almost 100% i picked up from it, but the comics responsible for me meeting, at MINIMUM, half of my friends. it and its fanbase shaped my youth to a degree thats probably not *good,* but it sure did happen.
