Favorite Homestuck Act?

Oh I do not disagree about rereading it, I prob will sometime during September with the pilot hype happening then and it'll be interesting seeing as a lot of shit happened between 2023 and this year

its been a hot minute since i read the comic but i gotta agree with alot of ppl on here that act 1 might be my favorite simply cuz of how it introduces you to all the mechanics and technical stuff of homestuck like characters fucking around and figuring our their sylladex and everything abt sburb as a game is so interesting to me i kinda wish we got more of that. i also just love seeing june fuck around and her interactions with all the other beta kids are so cute. a close second might be act 5 since its kind of in a similar vein as act 1 except its kind of backwards where you already know of their existence but never got the same full length introduction to them and their world. also alot of cool character interactions in act 5 esp between the trolls and the beta kids. lowkey might give in to the voices and reread homestuck..

I also think Act 5 Act 2 is hard to beat, and I don't say that to knock any other part of the story. In addition to the epic final crisis of the Beta Kids session and having all 12 Alternian trolls in play, it also has some really good metanarrative stuff. That whole "scratched disc" sequence where Doc Scratch is narrating key events from both main plotlines from his hideout, whilst different scenes play out in the frickin' top banner? The epitome of "This really shouldn't work, but it so does."

Plus, Cascade. Just Cascade.

(I believe some of my favourite bits of the Act 6 complex are technically intermissions? Like "Game Over" and the dream bubble stuff.)

it's really nice seeing all the act 1 love! a lot of my friend group sees it as something you have to push through to get to the good stuff, and I understand where they're coming from, but I fell in love with homestuck so immediately when going through act 1 the first time
