All eight thousand one hundred and thirty pages. I've read all of them. After almost 4 months of reading.
I don't think I'll be reading the epilogues, but is there a good place to read Beyond Canon? It's not in the Collection.
I don't really even know what to say! Collide was epic. Goddamn it's over... like, actually over. Hopy shit.
beyond canon got its own site baybeeee https://beyondcanon.com/

oh my. how do you feel..? me personally i've cried all three times i've finished homestuck
rails b4 pails!!
:O3
Yeah, I did tear up a little when John reunited with Dad.
I mostly feel bittersweet. I've been reading for so long and this moment has been very anticipated, but, I mean, no more Homestuck. :o(
I AM doing a reread along with the homestuck.com though. I just never really thought about it being DONE, i guess. I wish there was more Davepeta.
even if you dont want to read the epilogues, you gotta if beyond cannon is going to make any sense. also lots of beyond cannon (particularly the middle of the other team) was very fan serviced and has no controversial though because of all the criticism they were getting, which degrades it as a story a little. so read through the epilogues or even just skim them a bit before you get to bc. the trigger warnings arent a joke tho, pay attention to that or dont and skip it im just a guy on the internet
I did read the CWs, and I was a little confused. Is there actual, on page sex, or is it like how SBaHJ added incest and bestiality to Homestuck's CWs?
No there is straight up sex in the epilogs (emphasis on straight, snrk). It's everybody's favorite part and I really loved reading all of that. No complaints with it at all. As in nobody should have any complaints about it, because the epilogs are perfect literature essentially.

I don't recommend skipping the Epilogues either, but the idea of them replacing the Intermission as the more widely skipped section of Homestuck is very funny to me
The success of a paradigm may not be for the reasons it claims (i.e. accurate description of the world). This is good.
I'm reading them right now. They're honestly not that bad, I don't know why everyone always acts like they suck. And yes, I have gotten to THAT part in candy.
the epilogues scare me and so i haven't rlly gotten into postcanon. alas. i commend your bravery
Yeah The Epilogues are required reading for Beyond Canon. Which is fine personally, bc they're great. They're dark and weird and more adult than the original comic, but I think that adds complexity and depth, especially in Candy. There are parts that go a bit too far, but overall they're my fav part of Homestuck.
I cannot recommend the post canon stuff enough. The epilogues are genuinely fascinating, and beyond canon has some of my favourite moments in all of homestuck (that moment between Jane and Jake... If you know you know ;3)
And also, beyond canon is the best way to get that experience of experiencing homestuck in real time. Come join us!!!!
I'm mostly treating the epilogues as, if not a bit more official, fanfiction that happens to be written by Andrew Hussie. Not a complete end to the characters stories, leaving them a bit more open for interpretation. This seems mostly true for Candy, but if Beyond Canon is a continuation, then Meat might be a bit more canonical than I realized.
