Personally my Strangest Rarepair is probably DaveRoxy.
They are entirely born out of my thematic analysis brain, I am VERY obsessed them them.
it's mostly because I'm utterly fascinated with them on a thematic level. Dave and Roxy are really interesting to me because of how similar they are as people, but how the circumstances of their lives completely changed the outer layers of their personalities and how they react to things, and I think that as a relationship it's very interesting to see Roxy soften Dave and Dave charm Roxy. They just juxtapose and contrast each other really well.

i dont like daveroxy but i do agree with insomniaccatgirl, i think that dave and roxy are very similar people! i think that the few times dave and aradia interacted in the comic they got along quite well and it was pretty funny. because of this, i think aradia and roxy would get along just fine and i just think they are two cute characters so...
i was lucky enough to receive art of roxy x aradia from cerulean-tea on tumblr FOR FREE when i commissioned another piece of art because i had previously requested roxy x aradia when they were looking for drawing reqs. here it is!
im a hvswp/fs fan and hardly any of the charas interact w each other there, so everything i ship is a rarepair LOL.
in base hmstck tho, i think a rarepair i always come back around to thinking abt it is vrisfef. (nodding) i think abt that one exchange they had in one of the walkarounds where fef was bantering w vriska, and i thought it was so cute LOL. i just think imagining how these two character types would bounce off each other would be interesting!

aravris, vrisrose (already been mentioned a couple of times >:3), fefvris (already been mentioned once!!!). can you tell who my favorite character is? no but these pairings are powerful.
i love the guilt of aradia and vriska, and maybe i'm crazy but to me it always seemed like there was one sided something there on vriska's end, and i have always loved aradia being able to move on from what happened while vriska can't help stewing in it as a point of tension.
i like nepeta <3 terezi, sollux <3 terezi, vriska <3< rose, sollux <3< karkat, and vriska <3< aradia
