UPD8 THREAD 8/1/25 (spoilers)

LY'LAC is so cool, I want to 3D model her and make an avatar for vrc.
I want to know more about them so bad. Can't wait for new updates.

i'm ride-or-die for the "three nymphs three satyrs" thing myself. i also speculate, though its relevance is limited, that since nymphs very clearly resemble trolls, satyrs are gonna look more like humans. maybe their skin tone is gonna be a lighter shade of grey from the trolls, like how Ly'lac is portrayed with darker skin from trolls.

i also really like the idea of June going back into the Game! it fits with her character, and putting her through that might be what she needs for her character development, like Vriska's time in the Plot Point. either way, i can't wait to meet the new characters! the newbies have been my favorite part of post-canon so far, and i'm especially excited to see how the Deltas and Omegas end up interacting.

@gothicdespair I would love to favorite the avatar if you do end up making it <3 Ly'lac and the fem strilondes are always very gender to me. Shoutout to whoever made the Rosebot avatar, just wish it had any emotes. But yeah banger fucking update, and 2 upd8s in 24 hours actually tired me out somehow. I literally forgot to eat for many hours with everything Homestuck going on and the forums being made.

@fruitytherian That actually would add up to twelve players but then makes me wonder what the Satyr 12 file was for in the earlier updates. Maybe that would be the 12th version Dirk made, maybe they're all androids but the nymphs are more organic? I have many questions, but your idea is interesting!

First off, this update was everything I ever wanted.

Secondly I believe our girl Ly'lac is a prince due to her seth icon and general distaste for prophecies. Combine that with her disaster aura and bomb affinity, total prince vibes. This would also combo nicely with Dirk's kids (whatever they are), having the first one we meet of his be a seer

I didn't notice anyone talking about the cha.OS application yet, but I noticed a few things!

It looks kind of like an apple, but it also looks a lot like a butterfly - as in, the butterfly effect, which is related to chaos theory! The arrows could represent the forces at play, with the butterfly's wings flapping inward and the consequences cascading out into the world. (One of my followers also pointed out there are four inner arrows and two sets of three outer arrows - further hinting at a session with three nymphs and three satyrs.)

I also wonder if the butterfly effect alludes to Vriska, who has fairy wings and has now begun to make very subtle changes to each timeline she interacts with... did Deltritus change colour as a result of some subtle hint made to the planet's history when she arrived?

Also, an obvious one that it took me too long to realise - the app is called cha.OS because it's a near-simile for "Discord" LOL. if the symbol IS an apple and a butterfly simultaneously, it might even represent the mythical "Apple of Discord"

Probably not relevant, but Dave, Karkat, and Terezi also have some association with Apples. "Candy Apple Red" being Dave's color, Karkat's blood, and Terezi's favorite flavor. But the apple was blue so i dunno.

Personally I think Terezi should get all of the red fruits ever, as a special treat.

a blue apple was John's entry item, which in itself is symbolic of falling from the garden of eden - leaving an idyllic paradise into a world of sin and chaos. I imagine that's an intentional double meaning with the whole Apple of Discord thing, especially considering Vriska's "Hell Tier" upgrade; she even compares herself to the serpent in the garden of eden in her therapy quest on page 666!

It may have already been pointed out but the mural in the first page is quite interesting too... Let's see how that plays into matters.

I'm also terribly curious if Terezi's Quirk being cited in one of the instructional prompts is from Terezi being the first guardian of Deltritus and/or acting as a sort of exile for them or it's more a grace note to Ly'Lac having Terezi's tag.

Similarly the question of which tag is the sixth delta player (as I call the Deltritus team) is up in the air still. Tavros' would probably play into the fact the satyrs are likely horse/livestock/masculine inclined, eridan is a cold blood like the rest of the presumed satyr tags, and karkat has the usual Plot Relevant Character Boost.

Entry Items always corresponding to text colour is also probably something to stick with but it also seems to articulate itself after we get a better sense of what the characters is struggling with or has as an unstated character goal. Something vegetal or gardening based is a good place to start though.

I'm also dearly curious if her colour name is just a her thing and it patterns her after Rose especially, or it's a nymph wide affectation given their association with The Goddess Of Fate they obviously would venerate as prophesy obsessed as they are. Assuming CC is indeed a nymph her having a name like "Cl'ova" or "Pi'Nah" could solve that though.

If we meet the rest of the nymphs then the satyrs or rubber band back and forth is also something for what one presumes is this week's update.

The plan has been for Terezi to play exile to the people of Deltritus since the first ever scene of Beyond Canon; there was some talk of Terezi setting up an automated command station to make commands for her, though, so it's not clear at this stage if Terezi herself actually sent that one or if it was prerecorded.
