uNFORuNATELY I *HATE* GREEK CuLTuRE WITH A DEEP SEETHING RAGE. ITS NOTHING THE GREEKS DID, ITS JuST SOMETHING ABOuT ALL THEIR TOGAS AND ARCHITECTuRE THAT MAKES MY SKIN FEEL uNCOMFORTABLE ON MY BODY AND I FEEL DISGuSTING :( IDK IT FEELS KINDA THE SAME AS BEING OVERSTIMuLATED TO ME. AGAIN, NOTHING AGAINST THE GREEKS BuT I REALLY DONT LIKE TO THINK ABOuT IT. SWISS IS AuTOMATICALLY IN MY LEAST FAVORITES, IF NOT MY LEAST FAVORITE OF ALL TIME BECAuSE OF THAT.

IM HOPEFuL NOT ALL SAYTRS ARE AS GREEK INFLuENCED AS HIM BECAuSE I REALLY DO WANT TO LOVE THE SAYTRS! IF THEY ARE ALL HELLA GREEK IM GONNA BE REALLY REALLY SAD. LuCKILY FOR ME THAT DOESNT SEEM TO BE THE CASE WITH TC! IM HOPEFuL I CAN FIND A SAYTR I ENJOY! ^^

BESIDES THE GREEK ASPECT (WHICH ONLY REALLY AFFECTS ME) IT WAS A WONDERFuL uPDATE! I ESPECIALLY ENJOYED READING ABOuT THE BOOKS ON SWISS'S SHELF! VERY EXCITED FOR THE OTHER SAYTRS TO BE SHOWN OFF! uNTIL THEN IM GOING TO HAVE TO SLOG THROuGH SWISS. MY HOMESTuCK SPECIAL INTEREST OVER POWERS EVERY OTHER PART OF MY NEuRODIVERGENCE, AS ALWAYS. DESPITE HATING SWISS ILL END uP READING HIS PARTS ANYWAYS, BuT I WONT LIKE IT!

ALSO WONDERFuL ART AS ALWAYS! EVEN IF I CANT LOOK AT IT FOR TOO LONG BECAuSE OF MY GREEK ISSuES!

yayyyy update!!! Also I get that most people here aren't european so maybe this is just me but I LOVE that he's named Swiss and sees himself and his society as the paragon of democracy and is also super racist and conservative jhdczuegbfub like that is exactly how Swiss guys are I'm howlinggg

Swiss, I loathe you already. I mean, maaaaaaaaybe he might be able to overcome his cultural programming as the story goes on? Right now, he's doing too well out of Dirk's douchebro social system to want to be anything but a douchebro.

I went back to the mod chatlog on page 867 and I noticed that AT immediately unbans CT and apologizes to him yet doesn't reply to CC's messages at all...just bans CC constantly (//_T) with the new context about Swiss and Satyr culture in general it just feels bad now lol

Swiss feels like "What if Equius had more self confidence and absolutely no hang ups about his culture." I'm interested, then, to see how he tries to unlearn that. If it weren't for tinnitusChakra having the big screen (like Ly'lac) I'd wager he'd almost be like Dirk's champion. Although you could argue that while Ly'lac and TC are the "main" players, the ideal for Rose and Dirk, I think auguryAside and Swiss are almost like the more "accurate" or "representative" players to Rose and Dirk's personalities and flaws.

We'll see though!

Dude I loved the update. I am also so intrigued about the bees. Does sollux have a huge role in satyr society somehow, ive never been more invested. The tail wag made Swiss my favorite new character

@Randy - Good catch! I was wondering why he had similar sunglasses to Equius.

OK, maybe I was harsh on Swiss and there is some hope for him. He seems to dislike and be disturbed by the idea of genocide, which puts him ahead of an alarmingly large percentage of humans.

@tavroscrocker I don't think he's actually disturbed by genocide--he just finds the murder of their children distasteful. He says he's not a nympathizer, which is certainly a thing.

i feel like swiss would roleplay as political leaders in virtual democracies

with the combined lore drop about limited telekinetic abilities and high-caste satyrs being associated with bees and honey, i'm wondering if we'll see mind honey return in some capacity

ooh, pardon the double reply. lots of people theorizing about the hand on the console (p. 875) and the "aw shucks" of it all points to jane — but i have more to suggest!! this exile voice is imo too polite to be candy jane. so what if...

That's what I assumed. I suppose the characters will arrive on an unevolved Deltritus and have to use terminals to communicate with its future. And so there will probably be some mechanism that prevents the session from generating traditional exiles for some reason...

I'm assuming the opposite, they actually arrived at post extinction Deltritus and are just replacing the usual job of exiles. While Dirk did say that "They'll probably catch us right before our entrance into the Game, actually." I believe the turbulence Vriska caused in the addendum could have resulted in them arriving just a bit later.

Firstly, because of the weird setup of the command screen, do y’all think we will have 4 ”exiles” or 10? If it’s 10, I can’t even think of that many alive meat characters, dave, davebot (i still dont get how dave and davebot coexist if davebot is “the ultimate dave”?), aradia, karkat, jade (maybe? what about the whole callie thing?), roxy, kanaya, jake, jane, maybe june (I think she will find her way to meat somehow I trust her and need her to be relevant again)?

Also secondly, if the satyrs are named after cheeses and not blades I actually NEED a character called Colby-jacke or something…

I love Swiss so much I want to give him children (to eat)
